About thebows99krug

Hi, I am Eric, a retired librarian. I was born in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto and raised in the downtown area north of the Art Gallery, south of the University of Toronto. I went to Orde Street Public School, Harbord C.I., University College at the UofT and the UofT's Faculty of Library and Information Science. I meet my wife Patricia at FLIS; our first date was on November 15, 1968. We were engaged February 14, 1969 and married on June 21, 1969. Our family includes son, James; daughter-in-law, Erin; (both writers), grand-daughters, Vivian and Eleanor; and Sonic, a very friendly ginger tabby. My beloved wife died January 7, 2017 and our 19 year old cat Pooka died January 8, 2017. I would like to hear from any other class of '63 alumni of Harbord C.I. and class of '67 alumni of UofT's University College.

Patricia and I, One forever!

I believe death is not a loss, because as a Christian I believe in eternal life. Both Judaism and Christianity share common resurrection beliefs according to their authoritative Scriptures. While in Judaism resurrection refers to the Jewish individual in particular … Continue reading

We do see our Beloved Departed face to face!

As if to prove what I wrote yesterday was incorrect, I had a dream last night where I SAW Pat face to face and she was very real. I borrow from C.S. Lewis “The Great Divorce” to describe Pat in … Continue reading

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

I know when you meditate you communicate with God. Yet I wonder if we have the senses to actutually “see” God? The Bible says “No man can see Me and live!” Yet Matthew 5:8 says “”Blessed are the pure in … Continue reading

In the beginning

Some say that given the vastness, the beyond infinity of the universe there must be other intelligence somewhere else besides earth. Then they add, if this is so statistically, why have we not detected such life? The answer, my friend, … Continue reading

The Resurrection, thoughts on.

The Resurrection of Christ, is the central doctrine of Christianity. It is what Christianity is all about — the belief that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead on the third day after his Crucifixion and that through his conquering … Continue reading

Soul to soul with Love!

Communication soul to soul has been much on my mind since my beloved Patricia Bow died. I have aways believed it is possible. I believe what makes a married couple one is the ability to transmit directly words, emotions, or … Continue reading

To Love Truly

I need some help with this. Yes I am aware of my thinking. Yes I feel Patricia Bow lives and loves within me and in the arms of Christ. And Yes I feel her presence daily. Love is forever there … Continue reading

Those that drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again.

Patricia and I were friends, classmates, a couple, lovers, husband and wife, companions but there is more deep within. A mystic union. a spiritual presence, a quiet love and yes what she described as hermits together. Most important we seemed … Continue reading

Joined by God

What does Love actually feel like? Both Pat and I developed a sense of calm familiarity, stronger than friendship and more intimate. We felt grounded and content in each others presence. There was and is a divine force telling us … Continue reading

God and us!

There are two souls you know, that every married couple knows, you and the spouse God joined you with as one with each other and himself. In creation and in marriage God made/makes two one. We are from the beginning … Continue reading
